The Saskatoon Peace Council is having Dr Abuelaish coming to speak here in September. It is easy to understand how a Canadian Palestinian, or the people in Palastine feel about Israel, since political leaders in the USA and Canada indicate strong support for Israel’s Netanyahu, and the military power of Israel. So long as Israel keeps up their unlawful settlement expansion, desperate Palestinians will resort to launching rockets, which certainly are no match for the terrible retribution by Israel in 2009. Those of us who understand the terrible injustices levied on the suffering people of Palestine by Israel, must greatly increase our efforts to effect change, without resorting to violence.
